Happy Fall!
This is a spooky message from me to you! You will trick or treat and have fun! and wear creepy, silly, or princess clothes. And for the grown ups, they can look and enjoy the leaves of Autumn change color. Then you might have a Halloween party and play fun party games and return home and eat your candy. Then you go eat dinner and have a stomach ache. and come back home and rest and sleep and feel so scared you leap! You might even see a ghost! Well I doubt it. The next morning you will see the leaves still are the same! and you gasp! In relief that Autumn is still here. It is too bad I am in Bali where the leaves don’t change color, I feel bad that I can’t have a Halloween party with you and dress up fun and go out. But I will always remember when I had those moments.
This was a fun post to read Emily. I’m sorry you can’t see and enjoy the beautiful autumn colors. We took a nice drive through the Alpine Loop and I don’t have words to describe how stunningly beautiful the colors were. It’s nice you have fun memories of trick or treating and Halloween parties. I have such fun memories of the Halloween party we had at the cabin. That was just a blast wasn’t it?
Now you are having some great opportunities and seeing and doing things that most people will never have the opportunity to do and make such memories. So enjoy them for me.I love you and send you lots of HUGS!
Halloween is a very silly holiday. I remember last year that you went trick or treating with us! That was so much fun! Maybe there will be another year that we can all do Halloween stuff together, again 🙂
The autumn leaves are very beautiful. I am glad I get to see them- but I also think that Bali sounds lovely. It’s great you are able to live there and see all of the beautiful things around you!
I have a lot of fun Halloween memories too. I love the scent of autumn in the air and seeing the colorful leaves and eating pumpkin pie and homemade gingerbread cookies, oh and caramel apples! My favorite season for sure, especially when it stays relatively warm with just a slight crispness in the air. Sooo nice!
I love autumn. It is autumn in Seattle right now… the leaves are just starting to change colors – the day time is sunny and warm (but not hot) and the nights are cool Just like I like it!
Today a cute little squirrel was gathering the acorns that grandma rene sent me.
Maybe next year you will be able to spend a little time where you can enjoy Autumn! This year, enjoy beautiful Bali… wearing a sari…. swimming any day you like… butterflies and frogs… and passion fruit ice cream!
Love you!
P.S. Maybe you guys can carve pumpkins? Or if not pumpkins, another kind of gourd or squash? That could be a fun activity!
Hi, Emily.
Happy Autumn to you! I’m going to think about you this Halloween when the kids come trick-or-treating. I used to love seeing your costumes.
By the way, I loved your book of poems! I was so proud of you and how creative you are. Grandma Robin and I read them out loud to each other and we really enjoyed them. Keep it up.
I love you and miss you. Hugs and kisses!!!!
Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love when the leaves change. Its nice that each different place in the world has something wonderful about it. Even though the leaves don’t change colors in Bali, we know Bali has lots of beautiful places to enjoy year round. Happily, you will probably be able to see some of the leaves change in Autumn next year! It’s it wonderful that we have memories we can look back on and appreciate and enjoy?
