My new poem

I think this is a poem. I don’t know though. I stayed up all night writing this. It was fun:D Its based on when we were in England and we went to a big rock on top of a hill. Except its not me, its a man. And its not real, its fantasy. Its also kind of has an Irish feel to it. Hope you like it.:) Tell me if there are any spelling errors:D

The hike was long and rough

It made you drip and sweat

But this journey was worth the trip.

Because its a trip I would never forget

The grass was green and the fields were a shiny gold

The cows were grazing on the grass

And magic was to unfold

On the top of the mountain was a cave covered in thick ivy

so thick you couldn’t see the stone

I wanted to go inside and see if there might be something special

and unknown

Just then a man came up to me

his eyes were shimmering with gold

his clothes were a dark thick green

His hair was long and cloudy white

and he had a purple patched hat

and his skin was crusty brown

You dare come up here he said to me

To this sacred holy place

there are creatures of the unknown

that you may not come and seek

Dare go into that cave and suffer the curse

If you dare go in that cave it will not only curse you

but the loved ones around you

I dare! said I

I can take the risk!

I am a man of adventure!

No one can give me commands!

I will dare go in that cave!

My feet were on the dirt and river sands

I walked into the cave with my head held high

and then

I could not believe my eyes

It was no longer a dark cave

it was a village with mini girls and guys.

And it wasn’t just a village

the village was mini too

covered in moss and ivy

mushrooms also grew

The tiny girls and boys were sparkling with golden dust

Dancing in the cave the colour of midnight black.

I could not leave

I could not stop

looking at faries

looking at the dust

looking at the mossy stone houses

looking at the cave in wonder

I just couldn’t stop

Then I realized the trouble I was in

this was the curse that was lurking within

I could not escape

the beauty was too rare

but sadly my loved ones weren’t there

they would cry without me

they would weep when they heard my name

I could just hear their sobbing now

I had to break this curse

I had to break it now

Then I just realized something

I took of my glove

what is more beautiful than love?

I ran out the cave not looking back

The mysterious man was not there

I ran down the mountain

down the golden fields

down the greenest grass

This is definitely a memory That will forever last

Wow! What an adventure the man had. And what a beautiful place you created in your imagination…. sounds like somewhere I’d love to visit (but not be trapped). Love how very creative you are – and that you express and share your talents with us. Love you!

I found one potential typo…. “I took of my glove” Did you mean off?
