Things I Miss about Utah

I miss my extended family, the snow and carpet, and most of all the people.

Things I like about other places.

Nature, smell, trees, everything like that. But what I don’t like is the towns.

Reminders

Be happy!

Don’t worry!

Have fun!

Don’t cry!

Don’t be mad!

Don’t be bossy!

Don’t be rude!

And try to be happy for the rest of your life!!!!!!!

Words that are the same left or right. (Palindromes)

Mom

Dad

Bob

Very short but cool.

Kennedy and I miss you, too, Emily! But I’m so glad you’re having such great adventures and experiences in all of the different countries.

And those are excellent reminders. The first two things you listed “Be happy” and “Don’t worry” remind me of a song called “Don’t Worry Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin. You should tell your dad to play it for you! It always makes me smile.

Cool palindromes. WOW is one of my favorites. Another cool thing is a palindrome sentence: “was it a cat I saw?” Written backwards, it is the same thing. Cool, huh?

    Love you!

I miss you too – even though I’m not in Utah…. what I miss about Utah is family, and Cafe Rio. I don’t miss the snow.

I like palindromes. Here’s another word:

    kayak

    And another sentence:

Step on no pets. (good advice, too!)

An interesting thing about the word “don’t”… if you use it, you almost always think of what you’re wanting to avoid. Like if I say “Don’t think of a pink elephant” – What did you think of? 🙂 Try it. Ask your family this: DON’T think of _____ (choose something) and see if they can.

    Be Smart!
    Be Kind!
    Be Loving!
    Be Friendly!
    Be a regular blogger! 🙂

I’m so happy you’re writing blog posts more often. Can’t wait to hear about your technology camp!

We surely miss you as well sweet Emily. But like your Aunt Ashley we are very happy you are having so many wonderful adventures, learning of other cultures and gaining lots of neat experiences.
I really like the list of reminders you have. I have some of the same reminders on my list…I need to work on them every day.
Yes palindromes are fun. I found a couple others, racecar and eye.
I’m looking forward to hearing about the technology camp.

This is a test. Kristin is getting errors when she tries to post.

    Hi Emily 🙂
It was good to have you and Marie in our workshop this week. I hope you’ve had loads of fun 🙂 Hoping to see you again some other time 🙂
    Keep in touch 🙂

Oh, btw, towns annoyed me too 😉
    Love,
    Syiqin

Well, I hope it’s still okay to cry every once in a while. I think it can be healthy sometimes if we are sad or even if we are really happy. 🙂 Tears make a great place for extra emotions to go when we have too much to hold inside. Laughter is good for that too in certain situations. Thank you for teaching me about palindromes. You teach me a lot of things. Did you realize that?
