Things In Malaysia
| Author: Emily Pearce
I am in Penang, Malaysia! The food is so good. It looks weird, but it’s tasty! Malasia has spicy food, very spicy food. Sometimes it even makes my eyes water. Malaysia is hotter than it’should be. I could swim every day. There are Muslims in Malasia. They are fully covered in black clothing. But you can see the eyes.

This is me with my Malaysian dish.

This is Buddha. I saw this here in Malaysia. He looks like a girl but it’s a boy.

I’m glad you wrote a blog post about Malaysia, Emily. It’s fun to hear what stands out to you. I’m glad that you’re getting brave enough to eat some of the spicy food! Some of it is much to spicy for me. It’s really fun see so much religious diversity here, with Muslim women wearing Burkqas and colorful Buddhist Temples. I wonder what else we will see.
You are having such an exciting life adventure. I’d love to try some Malaysian food. I’m not sure I’d like being so hot every day… can you imagine how hot the women in burquas must be?
What has been your favorite food dish so far?
Loved reading your thoughts about Malaysia, Emily. Yes, it is certainly very hot here. I’m glad we have air conditioning. I really liked visiting those Buddhist temples and seeing all the big Buddha statues and the ornate buildings. I thought they were very beautiful. I think the food is really tasty too, even the spicy dishes have such a wonderful flavor.
A fish head.
emily.
You look very cute with your new ear rings. I’m happy it didn’t hurt when you had them pierced. I had my ears pierced when I was 12. And I loved wearing all the fun and pretty earrings, but now I can’t wear any earrings .I have developed an allergy to any metal. When I do try to wear them, my ears swell and itch and weep.
I’m surprised you ordered and ate that big fish!! I’m also very proud of you for trying so many new and interesting things. The food sure doesn’t look very tasty to me and I don’t think I would like it so spicy, but I’m really happy you like it.
I love you and I sure do miss you, but I’m really happy you are enjoying your many adventures.
